We’re looking for an HSEQ Advisor to join us full-time in Sydney CBD. In this role, you’ll lead the implementation of our HSEQ management system, drive safety culture, and ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards. You'll also support the maintenance of our ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications and ISS’s accreditation with the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner’s WHS program.
This position involves working from both ISS Offices (Macquarie Park) or the client's site in the Sydney CBD with flexible work arrangements available.
Here is a snapshot of what you will do:
- Assist with and drive the development and implementation of the contract HSEQ Management Plan.
- Provide in-contract frontline WHS and Environmental support to ISS leaders and staff across multiple sites nationally.
- Conduct and assist with incident investigations.
- Assist in compiling and preparing monthly performance reviews.
- Conduct safety trainings.
- Conduct internal and external inspections and audits and provide timely recommendations.
- Monitor appropriate recording and reporting when recordable & notifiable events occur to ISS, Client, state/territory WHS/OHS regulators and the OFSC.
- Actively participate in field inspections, including the client's critical sites
What will you possess to be successful:
- The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of implementation of HSEQ processes in operations and experience in the facilities management space. You will have formal qualifications in OHS/WHS and a demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation.
Required Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (minimum)
- Degree, graduate certificate or diploma in OHS/WHS (preferred)
- Accredited OHS Management System Lead Auditor certification.
- iCAM or similar Lead Investigator competency
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience as a HSEQ professional in telecommunications or related industry is advantageous.
