Our team is growing and we are currently seeking people to join us in the position of Business Development Executive for our Healthcare, Transport and Infrastructure and Office and Production Based Divisions, to work out of either our Melbourne CBD or Macquarie Park (Sydney, NSW) office, employed on a Full Time basis.

The overarching purpose of the role is to lead sales and business development activities by proactively identifying and developing new clients/opportunities through a variety of strategies to achieve the growth and expansion targets of the business. The role is responsible for identifying leads, qualifying leads, developing strategies and leading the sales activities in securing the business. Activities include client engagement, supporting/leading solution development, supporting/leading bid management, providing input/guidance to estimators.

 The Position:

The duties of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Accountable for supporting the growth of the Business Development division
  • Demonstrated ownership of the target market measured by general knowledge of clients in the Office and Production based sectors.
  • 100% on time submission rate for tendered deals and general satisfaction within time, as promised delivery of proposals to negotiated clients
  • All clients are to be visited, qualified and presented to on the Integrated Facility Services way, by way of introduction.
  • 100% on time submission and full completion of reporting requirements

Minimum Criteria:

  • Typically ten (10) years of related, progressive business development work experience would be needed for candidates who have not attained Tertiary or Post Graduate qualifications
  • Complex technical sales experience
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to effectively determine target clientele and opportunities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative leadership skills
  • This role will require travel so the ability to do so across Australia would be required.

Desirable criteria:

  • Tertiary or Post-Grad qualifications in any of the following fields: Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering; an FM related course, or Business.
  • Advanced research and analytical skills
  • Intermediate software skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with email and mainframe systems.
  • Operational experience
  • Large service delivery team management experience
