About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, Australia and New Zealand, the GM of People & Culture will lead both short-term and long-term HR strategies across all divisions within Queensland. This role involves collaborating with operational teams to ensure compliance, improve retention, promote development, and foster a positive, inclusive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with divisional teams to ensure adherence to ISS People & Culture policies.
  • Support industrial relations and operational leadership.
  • Drive employee recognition, performance, and engagement across key accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with ISS standards and promote a purpose-driven, inclusive workplace.
  • Offer strategic HR advisory and support at site-based locations.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Align learning and development initiatives with business needs and contractual requirements.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Experience in managing HR in a large, multi-disciplinary operational environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law.
  • Proven union consultation skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent presentation skills for large audiences.
  • High interpersonal, influencing, and customer service skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
