ISS is looking for an experienced P & C Advisor for a maternity coverage! Minimum 9 months and may extend upto 12 months!
Summary:
The role will collaborate with the business to ensure compliance to HR policy while driving solutions in, development of people, assisting trainers with traineeships, RTO, recognition and performance management needs for the Contract.
Establishing and maintaining an engaged workforce in a friendly, service orientated, safe and harmonious working environment in line with ISS values and Leadership Principles.
Manage the P&C functions including all Personnel, Training and Development functions ensuring these functions meet the operational needs of the contract while falling within the manning guidelines assigned to ISS Facility Services.
Responsible for servicing both the short-term operational and longer-term strategic “People needs” of the business.
Roles & responsibilities:
- Assist managers and supervisors, strategies to minimise staff turnover.
- Support the managers to appraise staff performance utilising the ISS Facility Services performance review system, and support with ongoing performance issues
- Assist with reviewing PD and advise on salary
- Ensure individual employee files are maintained and regularly updated with all information on file as outlined in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
- Liaise with the GM Operations and KAM’s regarding transfers and promotion of personnel, assist in the counseling staff where necessary.
- Assist and recommend career movements of managers.
- Support and assist GMO and Contract Leadership Team with career development of in contract Managers and supervisors.
- Participate in determining facilitating and co-ordinating management development and training activities in partnership with GM of L&D.
- Drive contract employee relations initiatives, co-ordinate reward and recognition programs, ISS HERO program
- Foster positive relationship with Unions and IR
- Ensure resources and HR processes are in place at sites.
- Support the terminations of all positions below GM Manager Level after consultation with GMO and GM P&C in line with GPP.
- Monitor internal documentation and procedures and provide recommendations.
- Review all disciplinary actions to ensure applicable laws and procedures are followed.
- Complete HR metrics measures and provide benchmarks and strategy to achieve improvements.
- Assist in the auditing and continuous improvement of Human resources systems and practices to ensure cultural sensitivity and appropriateness.
- Lead initiatives and co-ordinate activities throughout the Contract via a People Plan.
- Strive to implement the ISS Facility Services Vision and demonstrate active use of ISS Facility Services Values.
- Ensure that strategies and practices are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of each site to achieve financial and service quality targets.
- Live the company Values at all times.
- Any other reasonable request as required.
Work Environment:
Metro based office environment inclusive of travel as required from time to time to site based locations. This is an office-based role and requires working from the office 5 days a week.

You may also be required to work reasonable additional hours that are necessary to properly perform your duties and responsibilities to the standard expected by the Company.
You will also need to be flexible about when you work. Given the nature of your position, you may be required to work hours outside normal business hours, on weekends and public holidays.
