Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Claims Administrator to join us at our Marleston Office, employed on a Full Time basis.

This role would require someone able to start by early December at the latest.

The Position:

The Claims Administrator is responsible for providing general administrative and accounts payable support to Injury Assist (IA) Claims Managers and Regional Managers to ensure that efficient workers compensation claims management outcomes are achieved.

Daily duties will generally include:

  • Overseeing the implementation of Early Intervention for ISS employees including paperwork, treatment provider liaison and site communication
  • General clerical assistance to the IA team
  • Answering general telephone enquiries
  • Complete cheque/EFT process – including creation of new vendors and updating payment details in claims database
  • Creation of Purchase Orders in Navision accounts payable system
  • Payment of workers compensation claims invoices, including vendor maintenance and fielding accounts enquiries
  • Processing of workers compensation wages
  • Claims database administration – entry of medical certificates / claims documents, data coding & claims registration
  • Coordinating medical/travel bookings and liaising with third part providers
  • Management of shared electronic mailbox to distribute correspondence to claims managers
  • General administration work as required (such as photocopying, filing and minute taking)
  • Supporting the National Injury Management team to appropriately manage changing work demands and needs as required.

Minimum Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an administration / accounts payable role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a workers compensation environment is preferable, however not essential
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer service and able to work within a team
  • Experience with MS Office Applications, financial management systems and databases
  • South Australian drivers licence (no learners or provisional)
