Position Summary:

This position is responsible for providing superior customer service related to all areas of Parking Services. Qualified candidates will resolve customer conflicts by applying parking policies and procedures in a constructive manner. Candidate must have the ability to effectively relay information by a variety of methods to explain directions, rules, and regulations. This position occasionally calls for work in inclement conditions, and standing for several hours at a time. Candidate must be able to complete data entry using a computer.

Strong computers skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and management of emails across multiple accounts. Strong customer service skills. Cash handling and reconciliation skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in person with customers. Conflict Resolution - Being able to remain calm and not become anxious when customers raise their voice, become angry, or attempt to frustrate the process. Can write citations using “rITD”.

To thrive in this role the applicant will have one-year minimum related experience (must involve parking).

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Alaska driver’s license (must meet and maintain UAA safe driver verification criteria).

Position Details:

This is a full-time, temporary 12-month, non-exempt staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA staff temporary salary schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
