Position Summary:

The Process Technology Intern aids Facilities Services - Division of Utilities Maintenance, Operations, Instrumentation and/or Water Plant sections within the UAF Power Plant with various duties as assigned, while gaining hands-on experience. The position is generally part-time during the academic year (Fall & Spring Semesters) and full-time during the Summer Semester.

The Process Technology Intern aids Facilities Services - Division of Utilities Maintenance, Operations, Instrumentation and/or Water Plant sections within the UAF Power Plant with various duties as assigned, while gaining hands-on experience. The position is generally part-time during the academic year (Fall & Spring Semesters) and full-time during the Summer Semester.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
Must be enrolled in the A.A.S. Process Technology degree or Bachelor of Technology
Programs
Be enrolled at UAF with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
Have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, or a newly enrolled student.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
