Position Summary:
The UAS Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching is seeking student employees for the fall to provide teaching support services to our faculty. This position is ideal for students wanting to learn more about education and accessibility.

This is a great chance for students who plan to be in an instruction role to get experience. Training will be provided. Flexible scheduling around course loads makes this a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to the academic success of our faculty and students. Work 5 hours per week on campus and be part of an innovative team enhancing educational accessibility and flexibility; help us make UAS more welcoming to all!
To thrive in this role, strong communication skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor are essential for supporting and interacting with faculty and staff. You'll need to learn and use various technologies and software. Being flexible and ready to assist with a variety of projects and tasks is also important, as it helps create a collaborative and supportive team environment.
An interest in educational technology, accessibility standards, or digital media (e.g., PDF, WCAG) is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
No specific prior experience is required – all training will be provided!
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Juneau. This is a part-time Student Assistant 1 position, starting with an hourly rate of $13.11.
