Position Summary:

The UAS admissions, recruitment, and advising office is seeking an Admissions Coordinator. Answer correspondence regarding University requirements. Manage incoming admissions applications for all undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students. This is a great promotional opportunity to a UA employee already serving in a student services division and possessing advanced knowledge of the student admissions process. The Admissions Coordinator at the University of Alaska Southeast is a vital role in facilitating a positive enrollment experience by managing communications with prospective families, processing applications efficiently, collaborating with staff members, engaging in outreach activities, maintaining data accuracy, and striving for continuous improvement in admissions practices.

To thrive in this role, you must have experience supervising professional staff and an expert making sound judgement to problem solve and make decisions. You must have excellent written and communication skills and working with diverse cultural or ethnic backgrounds. You will need to be resourceful and familiarize yourself with university regulations and policies that will include subject matters such as Admissions, Financial Aid and Registration services. This role utilizes heavily on technology and you must have advanced computer skills and familiarity with data management systems along with providing the utmost customer service to the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
