Position Summary:
UAF eCampus is seeking a Testing Center Manager to join our team and lead the administration of essential testing services across our two main locations on the Troth Yeddha campus. This position is central to ensuring smooth and efficient exam operations, supporting UAF students, faculty, and the greater community by offering local, state, and national testing and certification services.
As Testing Center Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of testing services, manage a team of proctors and student assistants, and collaborate with national testing vendors. Your responsibilities include analyzing exam trends to enhance student access, preparing reports, and ensuring high-quality service for both online and in-person exams. You'll also work closely with eCampus and Center for Teaching and Learning leadership and faculty to resolve exam-related issues and develop strategies that align with institutional goals.
This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and staying current with national testing trends. Professional testing standards, national testing companies' policies and procedures, appropriate use of individual tests, general knowledge of testing, proctoring and assessment, knowledge of statistics related to testing, general knowledge of career/academic advising. Ability to interpret and apply complex polices, rules, and regulations. Ability to lead/supervise staff or work teams, including planning and organizing work, and scheduling, training and directing and reviewing work of others. Ability to analyze complex situations and make responsible decisions.
3 years experience in a standardized testing environment or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, on campus, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
