UAS Sitka Campus Director Sitka
The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is seeking applications for the position of UAS Sitka Campus Director. Sitka is a remote island community in beautiful Southeast Alaska with a small but diverse population and a rich indigenous culture. This campus is one of three that make up the regionally accredited University of Alaska Southeast. Through its extensive online programs and local classes, the Sitka campus serves students across all of Alaska and beyond, advancing its mission of student learning that is enhanced by faculty scholarship, undergraduate research and creative activities, community engagement, and the cultures and environment of Southeast Alaska. Its programs include both career and technical education and academic offerings contributing to associate and baccalaureate degrees. This position oversees the supervision of all staff and faculty at the Sitka Campus and provides leadership in developing and implementing innovative learning and advising strategies to promote student success. The Director also provides outreach and collaboration with community partners, including employers, public entities, Native corporations, and the Sitka Tribe of Alaska. Additionally, under the direction of the UAS Provost (chief academic officer located in Juneau), the Sitka Campus Director works with UAS deans and directors to collaborate on regional academic and administrative strategies. The Director furthermore provides leadership and vision for the campus in alignment with the UAS’ mission, strategic and assessment plan, UA Board of Regents policy, and university regulations. The Director also assists in promoting philanthropic giving and alumni engagement in support of campus programs and services. Successful applicants will have strong leadership skills, knowledge of the challenges facing students, staff, and faculty in rural and remote areas, as well as a profound commitment to improving access to higher education.
Temporary ECHO Project Coordinator Anchorage
Project ECHO at the UAA Center for Human Development (CHD) works with a wide variety of UAA and community partners to build communities of practice which address issues impacting the health and wellness of Alaskans. CHD is seeking applications for a temporary Project ECHO Coordinator. Flexible, hybrid, schedule with two days (Monday/Wednesday) in office. Project deliverables may require scheduled, early 8:00am starts one-two days a month. This temporary position is through June 30, 2025 and is not expected to continue past that date.
Research Technician - Temporary Anchorage
The Center for Human Development is seeking applications for Research Technicians. Research technicians work on the Center for Human Development research and evaluation team to complete research project objectives.
Temporary Research Technician for College of Health Anchorage
This is a pool from which the for College of Health will draw when research technicians are needed to work on sponsored projects. This is a part-time temporary position. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of employment. College of Health conducts applied and fundamental scientific research and collects, synthesizes, archives, and distributes data, specimens, and knowledge, partly through conducting field work.
