Job description:
The Public Health Improvement - Strategy and Policy team within Population Health is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of major whole-of-government commitments in preventive and population health. This includes Tasmania’s state 20-year preventive health strategy, state tobacco action plan, and relevant actions under the Long-Term Plan for Healthcare in Tasmania 2040.
The role provides statewide lead project management for allocated streams of work within the team’s broader program, with a particular focus on delivering state 20-year preventive health strategy. The role supports the planning, coordination, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of statewide population health priorities, and provides team management and guidance across policy, planning, project and program delivery activities.
