Job description:

The Podiatry department in Hobart is ready to welcome you to the inpatient team. The department has a comprehensive induction program, ongoing professional support and supervision, monthly in-services, a funding allowance for continuing professional development, a variety of research interests and great working relationships with other Allied Health professions.

The Team:

The Podiatry department in Hobart is ready to welcome you to the inpatient team. The department has a comprehensive induction program, ongoing professional support and supervision, monthly in-services, a funding allowance for continuing professional development, a variety of research interests and great working relationships with other Allied Health professions. Our Podiatrists and Allied Health Assistants work together across 3 main service streams of inpatients, outpatient and community, and there is a place for you in our team to grow, develop and belong.

The Role:

  • The Podiatry South team is based in the Hobart CBD, with outpatient clinics located closely to the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).  
  • The inpatient podiatry team delivers services to the RHH and Repat Hospital and works closely with medical, nursing and other allied health teams.

You will need:

  • Demonstrates a high level of professional skills, qualifications and clinical experience in a wide range of podiatry and or clinical settings.
  • Proven ability to function independently as well as the capacity to contribute and collaborate within a team environment to achieve patient and podiatry service goals.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills in; communication, negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution within team environments.

Details of appointment:

Fixed Term part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 24 April 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia
  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Podiatry Board of Australia

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  • 5 years clinical podiatry experience or demonstrated ability to work in a senior position
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Holds or working towards post graduate studies
