Job description:

This position sits within Health Planning as part of the newly merged Tasmanian Home and Community Care (Tasmanian HACC) and community palliative care team.

The Team:

Community Care Reform 
This position sits within Health Planning as part of the newly merged Tasmanian Home and Community Care (Tasmanian HACC) and community palliative care team. These statewide services currently support up 5 000 people a year through the policy development, funding and strategic management of core community care services. These core services support both the individual and the work of clinicians in keeping people living with ill health and/or functional impairment in their homes.  This is a busy team currently undertaking a reform of its programs to better support and align services to current and future need.

The Role:

This role supports projects working with the home and community care and palliative care sector. The role will include reporting; supporting lead workers with project management; secretariat; and systems support, including the administration of funding agreements.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills used in circumstances where information may be unclear, a variety of outcomes are possible, and/or recommendations must consider established procedures.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including client focus, together with sound liaison, negotiation, collaboration, engagement, and communication skills, enabling factual communication and open discussion to gain information or clarify issues from enquirers, and the capacity to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Sound written communication skills enabling the production of complex documents that are clear, accurate and concise, and which are understandable to non-specialists and, if appropriate, develop logical recommendations.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
