Digital Infrastructure Services provides the foundational technology platforms that keep Tasmania's public health system connected, secure and operational.
The team delivers and supports the Department's enterprise data centres, compute and storage platforms, virtualisation, data protection, network connectivity, Wi-Fi and core infrastructure services that underpin clinical, corporate and business systems across the State.

About the Enterprise Digital Infrastructure Capital Asset Refresh Program
The Enterprise Digital Infrastructure Capital Asset Refresh Program is a strategic program responsible for the ongoing lifecycle management, replacement and modernisation of the Department's enterprise digital infrastructure.
The program delivers the coordinated refresh of critical technology including enterprise compute, storage, virtualisation, data protection, Microsoft infrastructure, power protection systems, data centre infrastructure and other foundational technology platforms that support the delivery of clinical and business services across Tasmania.
Through proactive lifecycle planning and investment, the program maintains technology currency, reduces operational and cyber security risk, improves service resilience, and ensures the Department's digital infrastructure continues to meet current and future service requirements.
The Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead, manage and be accountable for the successful delivery of the Enterprise Digital Infrastructure Capital Asset Refresh Program.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for planning, governing and delivering a complex portfolio of infrastructure initiatives that collectively maintain and modernise the Department's enterprise digital infrastructure. You will work closely with technical specialists, operational teams, vendors and senior stakeholders to ensure critical technology platforms remain reliable, secure, resilient and fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the planning, governance and delivery of the Enterprise Digital Infrastructure Capital Asset Refresh Program.
- Building, leading and operating high-performing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Managing program governance, scope, schedule, procurement, financial management, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
- Coordinating the delivery of multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives across a complex enterprise environment.
- Providing authoritative advice and reporting to senior executives on program performance, delivery priorities and emerging risks.
- Establishing strong partnerships with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and service providers.
- Driving continuous improvement in program governance, project delivery and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Ensuring the Department's enterprise digital infrastructure continues to support the delivery of safe, reliable and resilient healthcare services across Tasmania.
You will need
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience leading the delivery of large, complex ICT or infrastructure programs and projects within a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to build, lead and operate high-performing multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects, competing priorities and complex dependencies while delivering outcomes within agreed governance, timeframes and budget.
- Highly developed leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build productive relationships with executives, business stakeholders, technical specialists, vendors and service providers.
- Strong program and project governance capability, including experience managing scope, procurement, commercial arrangements, financial management, risk, issues, reporting and benefits realisation.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to senior executives and translate organisational priorities into practical, achievable delivery outcomes.
- Sound understanding of enterprise digital infrastructure technologies and the challenges associated with delivering technology lifecycle and infrastructure modernisation programs. (An in-depth technical background is not essential; however, the ability to engage confidently with technical specialists and make informed delivery decisions is important.)
- A commitment to continuous improvement, customer service, teamwork and delivering high-quality outcomes within a complex and fast-paced operational environment.

Details of appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$144,169 to $153,844 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
