Job description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Diagnostic Radiographers/Mammographers to be considered for fixed‑term full‑time, part‑time or casual Specialist Radiographer opportunities with BreastScreen Tasmania.

Who are we looking for?

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Diagnostic Radiographers/Mammographers to be considered for fixed‑term full‑time, part‑time or casual Specialist Radiographer opportunities with BreastScreen Tasmania.

Successful applicants may be offered appointments of up to 12 months, with hours subject to clinical service needs and individual availability. Appointments may be across one or more BreastScreen Tasmania locations.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver screening mammography, diagnostic imaging and further assessment imaging as required across BreastScreen Tasmania screening unit sites.
  • Have the opportunity to take a leading role in supervising and supporting less experienced staff.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the BreastScreen Australia Program, ensuring professional and clinical standards are maintained at all times.

A Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography (CCPM) will be highly regarded but is not essential. Breast ultrasound skills will be viewed favourably.

Salary: $117,272 - $126,182 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2025

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia

  • Registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia

  • Licensed to practice under Tasmanian Radiation Protection Act 2005 and the Radiation Protection Regulations 2016

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  •  Current Driver’s Licence
