
The Team
The Midlands Multi‑Purpose Health Centre (MMPHC) is supported by a dedicated, multidisciplinary team who work collaboratively to provide safe, person‑centred care to our rural community.
Every team member contributes to a warm, respectful, and supportive environment. MMPHC is a place where staff work closely together, adapt to the needs of a rural community, and take pride in delivering high‑quality care across 18 aged care beds, 24/7 emergency presentations, and 4 sub acute beds.
The Role
- strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe, quality, clinically appropriate nursing care
- Supports sub acute and aged care residential patients daily care and care plaining.
- Is guided by policy, protocol and procedures developed and authorised by Department of Health (DoH) and the Department of Anaesthesia & Perioperative Services
You will need
- Sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures, and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures pertaining to enrolled nursing practice.

Details of appointment
Fixed term part time, shift worker position, working 71.67 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 27 March 2027.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
