The Team

The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

  All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

This permanent position is for the Relief Pool at NWRH to primarily provide cover on Medical, Surgical, Children's and Emergency wards/department. As such, applicants who have a minimum of two years post graduate experience, preferably having completed a Transition to Practice programme, should apply. We will be looking for an RN that can demonstrate adaptability to work between the various wards. Our permanent pool staff are rostered on a fully rotational shift basis, to cover short notice gaps. There are full-time hours available, and these can be split between successful appointees, if necessary.

Details of appointment

Multiple Permanent full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
