Based at the Launceston General Hospital and working within the Infection Prevention and Control Unit, you will be joining a team of dynamic and dedicated nursing and administration professionals with a passion for caring for their colleagues and promoting communicable disease prevention and control.
The Role
Providing direct staff health services
- Employee assessments and immunisation
- Skin assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products
- Contact tracing and case management of affected individuals, and management of disease outbreaks.
- Occupational exposure counselling and management
You will need (Up to 3 bullet points)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical competence and expertise in the delivery and coordination of clinical nursing practice, coupled with experience and specialist skills within the area of immunisation and Statement of Duties | PAGE 3 of 4 vaccination programs, occupational exposure management and skin health assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products
- Demonstrated highly developed educational/training skills, with the proven ability to influence, educate and direct the activities of others and implement change within the context of a multidisciplinary setting.
- Ability to apply advanced communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as the capacity to develop and maintain productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Details of appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Current Drivers Licence
- Certificate as a Nurse Immuniser registered with Public Health within Tasmania
- Relevant Post Graduate Qualification
