Job description:

The purpose of the role is to assist in the development and implementation of wildlife conservation, management, monitoring, research and emergency response programs; including delivery of the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of Appointment

12 months.

Duties

The purpose of the role is to assist in the development and implementation of wildlife conservation, management, monitoring, research and emergency response programs; including delivery of the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. 

Desirable Requirements

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence;
  • Physical ability to undertake tree climbing and other physical work associated with wildlife management;
  • Australian Bird and Bat Banding System (ABBBS) licence or experience in bird banding;
  • A current Coxswains licence;
  • A current first aid certificate;
  • A current firearms licence; and
  • Certificate III in Zoo Keeping/Captive Animals, or an equivalent qualification.
