Job description:

We are looking for a Human Resources Officer with excellent skills in coordination and client service to join our small and dynamic team. You will work with a highly skilled team of professionals and have plenty of opportunity to grow your skills further. This role would suit an experienced administrator with strong organisational and client service skills, a HR graduate with professional work experience, or a HR person wanting to expand their understanding of learning and development. The Human Resources Officer will work as part of a small and dynamic HR team to develop, coordinate and deliver on a range of people development initiatives for the Treasury workforce. There will be opportunity to contribute to other areas of HR as well as managing HR systems and reporting.

  • HR and/or administrative skills and experience that can be readily translated to our workplace;
  • the ability to research, gather and analyse HR data and information; and
  • the ability to stay organised and to work flexibly across various work areas to meet existing and emerging priorities.

About the Branch

The Human Resources Branch provides HR services and support to the Department of Treasury and Finance, Tasmania. We partner with stakeholders to deliver a responsive, high quality and seamless service; develop and embed contemporary people and culture practices; manage and coordinate specific projects and programs; and provide high level consultancy advice on complex strategic HR issues to support our Corporate Direction.
