Job description:

The Fixed-Term and Casual Employment Register is established to provide PAHSMA with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are available for work at short notice. Please note that some positions may require pre-employment checks or the ability to fulfill essential requirements.

Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority – Grounds & Garden Employment Register

This Register will remain open to applicants until 1 June 2027.

Please note a fixed-term and casual employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made. Employment Registers provide a mechanism to recruit to casual and short, fixed-term vacancies.  For permanent and more lengthy fixed term vacancies, please look at the individual advertisements on www.jobs.tas.gov.au 

PAHSMA is responsible for conserving, managing, and presenting the heritage value of our sites, along with maintaining our modern buildings and supporting infrastructure. While we contract some specialist services, we directly employ a dedicated Grounds & Gardens team to manage and maintain these areas to a high standard.
Positions may include:

Horticulturist

Salary Range - $74,783 to $80,835 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award, General Stream Band 3.

Multi Skilled Labourer

Salary Range - $74,783 to $80,835 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award, General Stream Band 3.

Gardener

Salary Range - $66,766 to $80,835 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award, General Stream Band 2- 3.

Cleaner

Salary Range - $66,766 to $71,857 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award, General Stream Band 2.
