Job description:
To undertake the preparation and processing of the Department’s financial and accounting transactions, and to contribute to the provision of quality financial services, information and advice to internal and external clients.

Duties
- Prepare, verify and/or process revenue, expenditure, corporate card and accounting transactions in accordance with Government and Departmental financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Assist with the daily reconciliation of the Department’s bank accounts, including the expenditure and collections accounts.
- Provide financial support services to internal clients and liaise with external clients on financial matters, including the investigation and resolution of financial operation process and/or transactional queries.
- Creation and maintenance of the creditor and debtor master files within the Financial Management Information System.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information through the application of appropriate internal control procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of existing financial operation business processes and practices.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in the use of Financial Information Management Systems.
