Job description:

Provide specialist grant program and procurement advice and coordination, to assist both the development of Government grant and other funding programs and procurements relating to waste and resource recovery initiatives, and to support stakeholders to efficiently and effectively engage with those programs.

About the role

The Senior Grants and Procurement Officer provides specialist advice, coordination and support across government grant programs and procurement activities. This role is central to the development and delivery of funding programs and procurement relating to waste and resource recovery initiatives, ensuring stakeholders can engage efficiently and effectively with these programs.

  • Lead and support grant programs throughout their full lifecycle.
  • Conduct compliance, risk and quality reviews of grant management processes using data, feedback and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to ensure correct use of grant management and record-keeping systems.
  • Provide technical advice on grants and procurement issues, liaising with the central procurement team and advising stakeholders on appropriate funding and procurement structures.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Desirable requirements

  • Experience with the use of SmartyGrants or other similar grant management software.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A current motor vehicle driver's licence.
