Job description:

Coordinate, oversee and prioritise the day-to-day activities associated with the Engineering and Fleet Services (EFS) Auto Electrical Unit including technical works, projects and supervision of staff within the unit.

Duties

  • Coordinate and prioritise business as usual and day-to-day activities of the EFS Auto Electrical unit and supervise staff to ensure work undertaken achieves quality outcomes and is completed within agreed timeframes.
  • Undertake procurement activities for the business unit, including ordering, invoicing and coordination of stock, and inventory processes such as the review and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Ensure work being performed adheres to workplace practices and procedures and assist in the review, development and implementation of effective workshop procedures and standards.
  • Foster a workplace culture that is focussed on workplace health and safety. Undertake relevant service, product and workplace inspections and reviews to ensure the unit is producing quality services, outputs and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Provide effective leadership, training, professional development, and guidance of staff, including performance reviews and management of underperformance.
  • Assist during emergency situations including wildfire, in which performance of duties outside of normal working hours may be requested.

Essential Requirements

  • Trafficking of narcotic substance;
  • False alarm raising. 

Desirable Requirements

Qualifications or a commensurate level of experience in a relevant technical discipline, together with a background in staff management.
