Job description:

Ensure an efficient and effective service delivery regarding the processing, management, vetting and disclosure of operational policing information, intelligence holdings and court outcome data in compliance with state and national legislative and policy provisions, including agreements established for the exchange of information.

Duties

  • Undertake the processing, evaluation and management of complex reports and other operational information such as criminal records, violence orders and intelligence submissions.
  • Supervise the processing of applications and requests for information to support the agency’s identity matching, quality assurance and release obligations relating to screening, court matters and investigations.
  • Possess a high level of knowledge on the rules around disclosure including vetting and redaction, operational procedures, communication with police areas, and the management of related records and files.  
  • Apply specialist knowledge and skills around the practical implementation of complex legislated rules and policies through the research, analysis and disclosing, and provisioning of operational reports and crash reports.
  • Apply a broad and detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, police business processes and administrative processes, technical knowledge and understanding of other agencies (DoJ) to achieve identified DPFEM business outcomes and priorities. 
  • Provide advice and guidance to team members on business functions and outcomes.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide authoritative and timely advice to senior internal and external stakeholders and clients with regard to operational information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive and personal information.

Essential Requirements

  • Trafficking of narcotic substance;
  • False alarm raising. 

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge and expertise consistent with qualifications recognised at Certificate 3 and 4 or equivalent level.
