Details of Appointment
Permanent, Full-time commencing as soon as possible. This is a day work position working 73.50 hours per fortnight. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Benefits
Salary of $105,852 to $127,715 pa. Starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increase within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Service Union Wages Agreement.

Working Environment
Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale.
The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties
- Take responsibility for leading and managing all aspects of day to day coordination and implementation of an assigned area of prisoner intervention and reintegration, its delivery and associated report writing, assessments and quality assurance.
- Provide leadership, daily work instruction, clinical direction, and guidance to staff in a specific discipline or area of expertise.
- Oversee assessments of offenders to determine their suitability for case management and program interventions and monitor progress as a result of such participation.
- Provide interventions to prisoners with complex needs, including assessments, record keeping and reports.
- Liaise with broader TPS staff, including correctional staff, therapeutic services, education and health and other internal and external stakeholders
- Provide training and development for Correctional staff, and for other organisations when requested.
Essential Requirements
- A degree of at least three years duration relevant to the professional duties to be undertaken is required, as provided by a recognised university.
