Permanent Full-time
This is a day work position working 73.50 hours per fortnight.

Benefits
Salary of $112,990 - $127,715 pa. Starting salary negotiable within range subject to experience in a similar role. Annual salary increase within this range in accordance with the Tasmanian State Service Award and Public Service Union Wages Agreement.

Working Environment
Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale. The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties
- Partner with TPS Managers to build organisational capability and effectiveness, and to implement informed and targeted people initiatives and activities in response to the needs of the work area.
- Support delivery of the HR (Professional Standards) strategies, policies and programs by working with managers to effectively implement TPS and Agency initiatives.
- Provide authoritative advice to managers on HR, professional standards, and workplace relations matters, in collaboration with relevant members of the broader Department of Justice HR (Professional Standards) team as required.
- Coach and support leaders to manage the performance and development of their people.
- Proactively monitor, identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace issues, with an aim of prevention and/or early intervention and resolution of matters such as workplace conflict.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders including HR team members, TPS Managers and employees, and other relevant stakeholders or service providers.
- Conduct assessments, reviews and investigations into staff-related matters.
- Perform other assigned duties within the knowledge, skills and experience expected at the classification level.
