Job description:

To assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of the college.

The Team

Launceston College is supported by a dedicated team of over 200 full-time and part-time educators and support staff, including a strong leadership group committed to fostering a nurturing and high-achieving environment for all students.

The college is a leading senior secondary school in Tasmania, offering over 120 subjects and a vibrant mix of academic, vocational, and cultural programs to more than 1400 students in Years 11 and 12.

Founded in 1913 as Launceston State High School, the college has evolved through several identities and now occupies a site rich in history, once home to the Launceston Gaol established in 1827

We are offering:

We are looking for:

Essential

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  •  A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
  •  Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005.

Desirable

  • Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
