Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term full time flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months 

Duties

  • Provide specialist advice, develop and implement key communications, community engagement and stakeholder management strategies, resources and services, and other related activities to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including indigenous communities. Undertake analysis and evaluation to continuously refine and improve communications.
  • Conduct high-level research and analysis, providing advice and input on the development of communication/media strategies, plans and campaigns for the TGHH. This includes contributing to the building and enhancing the profile of TGHH and the development and ongoing refinement of the TGHH project message and talking points.
  • Liaise with relevant industry and Government stakeholders on media queries that relate to the TGHH, undertaking research and developing responses as required.
  • Prepare media releases, media articles, promotional material, publications, website content and other material as required for the TGHH.
  • Identify target audiences and work with consultants, other government agencies, external consultants, indigenous communities and with industry, to create strategies to effectively engage them, including undertaking market segmentation work, and development of community engagement and education materials relating to the TGHH.
  • Contribute to ongoing collaboration to achieve successful engagement and communications outcomes for the TGHH.
  • Perform any other assigned duties at the classification level that are within the employee’s competence and training.

Desirable

  • A current drivers licence.
  • Relevant qualifications in communication, public relations, marketing, or related field, preferably with a ‘Certificate in Engagement’ from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).
