A day in the life?

We’re looking for our next Breakfast Announcer to co-host Rockhampton’s Triple M Breakfast Show – a local legend of the airwaves! You’ll bring energy, creativity, and a genuine love for Central Queensland to help create a show that’s bold, entertaining, and truly connected to the community.

As the newest member of the Triple M family, you’ll work alongside Pinky to wake up Rocky with content that’s funny, real, and unforgettable. You’ll know how to craft compelling breaks, bring stories to life, and connect with listeners both on and off the mic.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering a show that’s technically sharp, creatively excellent, and reflects the unique vibe of Rockhampton.
• Aligning on-air content with our station’s content strategy, while staying compliant with The Broadcasting Services Act, Commercial Radio Codes of Practice, and all relevant broadcasting standards.
• Promoting music, show segments, and station features in a way that’s engaging and appropriate for our audience – with a great instinct for editing out anything that might not land well.
• Working closely with the sales and scheduling teams to flag any issues with commercials or sponsorships so we’re always sounding seamless and professional.

What You’ll Need

• Broadcasting voice suitable for the target audience with a breadth of radio experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Motivated and willing to work as part of a content team.
• Produces engaging products with appropriate content, format, style and pace.
• Can relate content decisions to the impact they will have on the market/customer/key audiences.
• An understanding of legal compliance issues with regards to contests including the assessment of risk around legal and PR outcomes.
