JOB SUMMARY
The Office of the Provost is hiring student workers for the 2025-26 Academic Year, to become part of our busy and talented team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in higher education administration.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, copying, answering phones, and data entry.
• Assist with program planning and provide event support.
• Manage office supplies and ensure inventory is maintained.
• Greet and direct guests of the University, representing the Office of the Provost in a professional manner.
• Attend academic events and assist with drafting new stories as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the unit.
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other common office software to produce high quality documents. Knowledge of creating tables, charts and graphs as required.
• Excellent communication skills - ability to interact effectively with all levels of the University community as well as outside constituents
• Detailed oriented, good telephone skills, dependable and punctual
• Available for morning work shifts as scheduled
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Solid soft skills – friendly and enthusiastic!
• Previous experience or coursework related to higher education administration is a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in learning about the organization and governance of higher education administration.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content.
• Experience with social media platforms (e.g., X, Instagram, Tik Tok) and familiarity with best practices for social media management.
• Previous experience or coursework related to higher education administration is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
