The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is a professional having one to three years of related treasury and/or business experience who can support the day-to-day function within the Finance Division. Under the general direction of the Vice President for Finance & CFO, Financial Planning and Analysis Analysts assist in one or more areas of Finance including Treasury, Accounting, Financial Systems, Budget, Procurement, and Accounts Payable. This position will assist primarily in the Treasury area. Incumbents will be responsible for prompt, thorough and accurate analysis, reporting, and processing of Treasury, Accounts Payables and Student Accounts financial activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Treasury:
•Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
• Prepare and update short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances against actuals.
•Support daily payments, transfers, and investment transactions in accordance with the University policies.
•Assist in managing debt obligations, credit facilities, and investment portfolios.
• Partner with banks to resolve transaction issues, maintain accounts, and optimize banking services.
•Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance treasury efficiency and automation.
Financial Analysis:
•Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through detail analyses and modeling.
•Partner with finance and non-finance departments in developing useful financial management tools and reports supporting an effective use of university resources.
•Design and produce reports including ad-hoc analyses, query, business intelligence and data management to support decision making.
•Document processes and procedures, maintains records, and support documentation of all Treasury Functions
Accounting:
•Reconcile cash balances and banking activity with the general ledger on a regular basis, including daily transactions and third-party activities.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes by providing treasury-related journal entries and schedules.
•Ensure accurate recording of interest income, debt expenses, and investment results.
• Collaborate with accounting and FP&A teams to provide cash-related insights for financial reporting.
•Assist in preparing treasury, accounts payable and student accounts related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance:
•Ensure adherence to treasury policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
•Maintain documentation to support treasury transactions and audits.
•Monitor compliance with debt covenants, investment guidelines, and banking agreements.
•Support internal and external audits by providing treasury-related data and explanations.
• Identify risks related to cash management, investments, and banking relationships, and assist in mitigation efforts.
Budget & Forecasting:
•Support the annual budgeting process in alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan.
•Assist in developing one- and three-year budget forecast models based on multiple revenue and expense assumptions.
•Prepare financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis, including monthly financial updates.
•Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance against key performance indicators and forecasted amounts.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business - Finance or related field

Salary Range:

$52,000 - $71,500

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
