The Coordinator of Student Internships and Experiential Learning supports the mission of the Career Center by coordinating high-impact experiential learning opportunities that help students apply academic knowledge in professional settings. The position manages internship processes, collaborates with faculty and employer supervisors, and advises students preparing for credit and non-credit experiential learning. The role ensures compliance, documentation accuracy, and data reporting while advancing student career readiness aligned with NACE competencies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Internship Coordination Program
• Coordinate administration of undergraduate and graduate internships.
• Process internship applications, agreements, evaluations.
• Assist with collecting and reviewing employer and student internship evaluations to ensure accurate documentation of learning outcomes and continuous program improvement.
• Maintain records in 12twenty and ensure compliance with university guidelines.

2. Student Advising & Support, Workshops. Programs, & Communication
• Advise students on internship preparation, professional expectations, and workplace readiness.
• Develop and deliver internship preparation workshops and presentations.
• Support marketing and outreach for experiential learning.
• Prepare internal reports highlighting new internship and experiential learning opportunities for the Career Center team to promote to students.

3. Data, Assessment, & Reporting
• Track internship participation and outcomes.
• Prepare reports for academic units, accreditation, and strategic planning.

4. Employer & Supervisor Engagement
• Serve as liaison with internship supervisors.
• Support resolution of student or site concerns and clarify internship expectations.
• Assist with outreach to employers to gather information on hiring needs for full-time, part-time, and internship roles, and compile this data to support Career Center planning, advising, and promotional efforts.
• Conduct visits to internship sites to monitor student progress, strengthen partnerships, and ensure experiential opportunities meet quality standards.

5. Faculty & Academic Partnership Support
• Collaborate with faculty internship coordinators and academic advisors.
• Communicate internship guidelines and address academic-related questions.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required for this position – Field of study: Education, Psychology, Business, Communication or related field

Salary Range:

$44,000 - $60,500

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
