Responsibilities:

More specific duties include:

 

Assisting in the recruitment, selection, and advising of 450+ student leaders in groups like the Student Activities Board, Student Government Association, FSL Councils, Inclusion Alliance, Student Engagement Specialists, and other cohorts.

Providing training and development for student leaders including resource development, in-person/virtual training session, and/or identifying ways to address student groups’ needs.

Facilitating the coordination, event tracking, and assessment of New Student Programming (Weeks of Welcome-WOW, Pre-Orientation programming, and new student orientation in June)

Working with key campus partners, including Center for Academic Success(CAS), Admissions, Housing and Residence Life, various Student Services units, University Libraries, and other academic departments

Expanding the work of creating an inclusive community for underrepresented students, including but not limited to supporting initiatives and programming for the University-wide Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

  • All responsibilities of general office worker, plus word processing. Also, any advanced skills required by the department if indicated.

Qualifications:

  • -Active/matriculated student in good judicial standing
    - Familiarity with Social Media tools
    - Positive attitude
    - General Computer Skills (Inc. Microsoft Office)
  • Additionally, an academic interest in marketing, technology, education, public relations, graphic design and/or advertising is a plus.
