Skilled Student Worker- Speech and Language Pathology - 2021/2022

Responsibilities:

  • The skill student worker will provide support to ongoing research activities taking place in the Reading, Oral Language, and Writing Lab on the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus. This includes data coding and data entry as well as assembling materials for a large scale federally funded research grant. The student will be able to work remotely and through Teams; however, they will be expected to work on the IHS campus from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Student must have at least one course in child development, language development, or child psychology so as to understand at a basic level the nature of the work taking place in the lab. Students must be proficient in English and have strong reading and writing abilities.
    Familiarity with department/office procedures.
    Knowledge of specific software programs as needed.
  • Undergraduate students enrolled in general education, special education, communications and the arts, psychology or other related fields.
    Students with advanced computer skills and technology majors that can impact educational curriculum are also encouraged to apply.
