Responsibilities:

  • Provide a welcoming informative experience to assigned pod
    Complete required weekly office hours
    Attend CORE 1001 as required
    Encourage mentees to attend office hours
    Host RISE programming as needed
    Guide and coach students on academic and social integration
    Abide by requirements of the RISE program
    Represent RISE at open houses as needed
    Remain in good academic/judicial standing
    Other duties as assigned
    Must attend May and June training dates
    Must attend May RISE Accepted Students Day
    Must be available from 6/27 - 7/15 for summer institute
    Must be available 8/24-8/28

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of university resources, policies, and procedures
    Awareness of the needs of TRiO populations
    Active listening
    Relationship building
    Communication
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
