Responsibilities:

  • The student will teach the laboratory sections assigned form the courses: BIOL 1123/1134 (1cr each), BIOL 1212/1223 (1cr each), BIOL 2142 (1cr), BIOL 2222 (1cr ), or BIOL 2239

    The student will work with various Biology Professors, Teaching Assistants, and Biology Laboratory Coordination staff in preparing and maintaining the laboratory experiment set-ups for each week’s specific experiments.
    The student will grade the Biology Lab reports, pre-lab questions, quizzes, recitations, and Laboratory exams for the sections they are teaching.

Qualifications:

  • The student should have taken and successfully completed the Biology Laboratory Courses BIOL 1212/1223, BIOL 2222 and BIOL 2239.
    The student should have an overall GPA higher than 3.50

    The student should know MS Excel (with data analysis and plotting), Blackboard, and should have knowledge of basic usage of equipment utilized in Biology Laboratories. Including microscopes, pipettes, balances, centrifuges, and incubators.
