Main Purpose of The Job:
The Crew Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the scheduling and deployment of crew members to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing crew reassignments, monitoring crew performance, and ensuring that all staffing needs are met in a timely and effective manner, with consideration of flight safety and on-time performance. Report operational abnormality and crewing issues to Crew Operations management for joint decision making.
Role Purpose
- Maintain all flights on-time performance in terms of crew reassignment.
- Develop and maintain crew schedules to ensure adequate coverages for all operations while adhering to CAD 371 and company policies.
- Coordinate with various departments to determine staffing needs and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Prepare and present reports on crew utilization, attendance, and performance metrics to management.
- Coach new Crew Control staff regarding company policies, procedures, and safety standards by means of on-the-job training.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OCC management team’s enquiries and crew members’ disputes regarding scheduling issues.
- Address and resolve potential issues related to crewing deployment or operational disruptions effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies regarding scheduling of crew members.
- Analyze and prepare up to date records on crew status and roster for management when required.
- Assist AMCCTL & HCO in cases investigation as raised by other departments and crew members involving Crew Control handling.
- Support company business process change. Provide guidance of SOP and internal guidelines to subordinates.
- Assist AMCCTL & HCO in maintaining subordinate’s performance at high standards and ensure company OKR is met. Raise the staff performance issues to AMCCTL/HCO, if any.
- Assist AMCCTL & HCO in overseeing the implementation of crewing systems and automation projects relating to Crew Control when required.
- Prepare daily shift report and assign staff daily tasks.
- Prepare crew document data to the briefing office and authorities for flight document preparation when required.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.
- Participate in specific working groups and projects assigned by superiors.
The Ideal Candidate
- Diploma or above, in any discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in roster assignment / reassignment and airline operations.
- Thorough knowledge in aviation crewing related logistics.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. And knowledge of Putonghua is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willing to work shift duties with early start, late finish and overnight.
