| We are looking for an English instructor with primary expertise in teaching composition. The instructor will have an opportunity to teach Basic Composition (EN 0103), Composition I (EN 1103), Expanded Composition I (EN 1104), Composition II (EN 1113), and Accelerated Composition (EN 1173). In addition, qualified instructors may also be given the opportunity to teach Honors Composition (EN 1113H), 2000-level general education classes in literature, writing, film, and/or linguistics, and selected 3000-level courses according to expertise [e.g. EN 3333 (Internship), EN 3303 (Creative Writing), or EN 3313 (Writing for the Workplace)]. The instructor will carry a 4-4 teaching load and is expected to support the Department of English in a service capacity. Opportunities for promotion to the ranks of Instructor II and Instructor III are available based on years in rank and demonstrated excellence in teaching. |
