| The Shelter Program at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to hire an Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor to join the team of 5 faculty members, 1 rehire retiree, and 3 technicians. The Shelter Medicine Program provides a spay/neuter services to 25+ shelters and rescue groups in Mississippi. The Shelter Program also provides shelter visits for third year veterinary students to perform basic physical examinations, health maintenance evaluations, and population level recommendations for the shelter. The Shelter program also provides training to graduated veterinarians on assessing professional students and veterinarians. The funding for this position is associated with the Nutramax Veterinary Education Training Program. The position is supported by gift funding provided annually for up to five years from Nutramax with the possibility of renewable after the current agreement expires. It will be a 100% soft money-funded position with a one-year renewable contract that can be renewed for up to five years.
