The Director serves as the leader for the areas of Property, Receiving & Mail Services. The respective responsibilities include receiving/delivery of incoming freight to MSU departments, managing the fixed asset management system, and coordinating the campus departmental mail pickup and delivery functions in coordination with the US Post Office. This position champions continuous improvement by establishing and maintaining policy and procedures for the control, management, proper stewardship, and disposal of university and sponsored research assets in accordance with various State and Federal regulations. The Director serves as the liaison between State and Federal auditors regarding fixed assets.

Provides advanced administrative and operational leadership for the Sports Medicine, Nutrition, Counseling and Sports Psychology, Strength & Conditioning, and Sports Science units. Manages the department’s insurance and business operations and oversees the implementation and ongoing management of SEC-mandated medical technology systems (EMR/AMS). Coordinates cross-functional collaboration and compliance. May provide coverage and care for student-athletes.

The National Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision (NRTC) at Mississippi State University invites applications for an Intermittent position, specializing in the program implementation for Older Adults who are Blind/Low Vision. The mission of the NRTC is to enhance employment and independent living outcomes for individuals who are blind or have low vision through research, training, education, and dissemination. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform a variety of duties to assist with training, resource development, and technical assistance activities of the National Research and Training Center (NRTC) on Blindness and Low Vision. Some travel is required for this position. The Older Blind Specialist exercises considerable independence and technical judgment in the performance of duties. Remote work will be considered for this position. Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.
