This position will work closely with the Trauma-Informed Parenting and Professional Strategies grant team to collect data and assist with parent prevention and intervention Extension programming.

Salary Grade:  13

Anticipated Appointment Date:

August 2024. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contact participants to obtain evaluation data.
• Provide childcare during Trust-Based Relational Intervention Trainings.
• Assist with parent prevention program by collating, labeling, sorting, and mailing parent education materials.
• Conduct process and outcome evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

• Must pass a background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel locally, statewide, and nationally if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - Desired: Masters degree in Human Development and Family Science.
Experience - Desired: Three (3) years experience working with children, youth, or families.

• Certified Family Life Educator.
• History of working with children who have experienced relational trauma.
• Ability to use online technologies (e.g., RedCap; Excel) for educational program delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals, groups, and through mass media.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and overnight travel.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and engage with outside resources.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport programmatic supplies and equipment and extended periods of standing to perform educational activities.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Organizational skills needed to facilitate complex programs.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Considerable physical activity. Requires physical work; lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
