Position Function:
The function of the position is to assist the Director and staff in administering the PGA Golf Management program. The PGA Golf Management program must follow accreditation standards for the University as well as the PGA of America.
Salary Grade: 12

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Directs, supervises, and coordinates the administrative function of the PGM office, including but not limited to Banner and PGA of America reporting practices
2. Studies, analyzes, and recommends procedures and processes in order to improve continuity and simplify reporting
3. Analyzes operating practices such as record keeping systems, office layout and performance standards to create new systems or revise established procedures; remain abreast of trends in administrative operations.
4. Coordinates collection of and participates in the preparation of operating reports using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
5. Assist the Director in student recruitment
6. Assist the Director in golf player development program
7. Assist the Director in student advising, to include academic and industry related advice
8. Assist the Director in scheduling/coordinating events/activities related to the program. Events/activities include PGA Merchandise Show, Student Association activities, PGA PGM Seminars, and Alumni events
9. Assist the Director in maintaining alumni relations
10. All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but may give general instructions to subordinate student employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma
Experience (yrs.): 2-4 years experience Directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Preferred Qualifications:
Golf knowledge; PGA Membership strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment but may require time indoors/outdoors assisting with golf instruction.
* No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
* No or very limited physical effort required.
