This position provides support for photography and creative design for the football program.

Salary Grade:  14

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Produce as well as assist in implementation of photography, design and creative direction of all recruiting, marketing and social media materials for the football program.
2. Responsible for the overall management and direction of photography for the football program.
3. Design and produce high-quality creative content pieces that communicate a strategic football and university message to a broad audience in many different media formats.
4. Produce quality content during training, recruiting and gameday environments.
5. Meet quick turnarounds to post high quality content on same day that events occur.
6. Provide insight to push department forward with emerging trends in social, digital media, as well as in-venue entertainment.
7. Successfully manage multiple projects concurrently, while meeting project budget and deadlines.
8. Work with student and internship workers.
9. Performs related duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Senior Director of Football Creative Strategy, Director of Football Content & Strategy and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Communications & Content.
10. Generate and distribute content to student-athletes.
11. Remain relevant with digital and social media standards, trends and technology and evaluate emerging technologies and platforms with a goal of implementing strategies as appropriate.
12. Work with various department units to ideate and plan how social media and content supports recruiting, fan experience, ticket sales, Bulldog Athlete Services, Bulldog Club and special events.
13. Collaborate with other football creative content team members to develop and plan graphics, video, and photo requests that will be executed on social media platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Communications, Digital Media, Videography, Photography, or related field.

Experience (yrs.): One (1) year in related area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design and photography.
• Knowledge of photographic technology, equipment, and techniques, including editing and archiving.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures.
• Skills in the utilization of specified computerized graphic design programs.
• Ability to analyze graphic and technical information and create interpretive illustrations.
• Knowledge of printing procedures and requirements.
• Knowledge of printing and/or reproduction processes and techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to analyze and interpret user graphic requirements.
• Ability to develop print and/or reproduction specifications.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• No unusual physical requirements. Requires limited lifting of files and records and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
• Frequent- External imposed deadlines; set and revised beyond one’s control; interruptions influence priorities; difficult to anticipate nature or volume of work with certainty beyond a few days; meeting of deadlines and coordination of unrelated activities are key to position; involves conflict-resolution or similar interactions involving emotional issues or stress on a regular basis.
• Job frequently requires walking, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands.
