Position Function:
The Stewardship Coordinator assists the Stewardship Manager in implementing the stewardship program within the Division of Development and Alumni. The Stewardship Coordinator will develop relationships with donors. The Stewardship Coordinator reports to the Stewardship Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Stewardship Manager to implement strategies to effectively engage and cultivate relationships with existing donors to deepen their commitment to Mississippi State University
2. Arrange and participate in meetings, site visits, and events to steward donors and build rapport
3. Coordinate with the Stewardship Manager to create and oversee personalized stewardship plan for donors, ensuring timely and meaningful acknowledgment of their support
4. Collaborate with the development team to integrate donor stewardship strategies
5. Perform related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communication with emphasis in public relations, English or a related field

Any equivalent combination of related experience and/or education approved by the Department of Human Resources Management.
Position may require occasional travel. A valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
