Position Function:
Coordinates the development and implementation of programs, projects, and activities that support the professional and educational advancement of students, faculty, and staff within the Bagley College of Engineering (BCoE).
Primary roles of the position are to:
1. Implement effective strategies to promote academic success and career readiness among students, in alignment with BCoE goals for student success, persistence, completion, and employment in engineering fields.
2. Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with university units and student organizations to deliver initiatives that support professional growth for students, faculty, and Staff at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Implement specific programs and practices to increase professional development to include skill-building, career exploration, leadership, academic success, and wellness for BCoE students.
2. Assist with implementing programs to support the professional development and wellness for BCoE staff and faculty.
3. Collaborate effectively with the BCoE Director for Student, Faculty, and Staff Professional Development, the BCoE Associate Dean, the K-12 Outreach Director, and related professionals in the college and beyond.
4. Design and/or implement assessment tools to evaluate program effectiveness and learning outcomes; use data to inform continuous program improvement.
5. Assist with and/or coordinate the development of informational materials and programmatic activities related to continuing education, industry engagement, and career preparation.
6. Serve as a liaison and mentor to student-led organizations, providing guidance in areas such as professional growth, industry knowledge, and leadership development.
7. Support the efforts of the BCoE Director for Student, Faculty, and Staff Professional Development and faculty advisors.
8. Coordinate event promotion, logistics, and documentation to ensure effective communication and accessibility across student, faculty, and staff audiences.
9. Carry out other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree and One years’ experience similar to duties described above.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with college students, their parents, or guardians, and with academic administrators and faculty.
• Experience organizing and implementing educational programs.
• Experience with project management, including planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering education or related field, or experience working with engineering students.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to recruit, mentor, and assist undergraduate and graduate students.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
• Travel in-and out-of-state required.
• Proficiency in word processing and database management.
• Occasional and/or light lifting required. Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc.
