Position Function:
This position provides client support to individuals and entities seeking services from the Autism & Developmental Disabilities Clinic (ADDC) and associated clinics, and provides administrative support to their clinicians and students.

This position provides client support to individuals and entities seeking services from the Autism & Developmental Disabilities Clinic (ADDC) and associated clinics, and provides administrative support to their clinicians and students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Answers phones, collects client information to determine service(s) needed, and routes to appropriate service provider(s) or wait list(s).
2. Sends client intake paperwork, reviews for accuracy and completion, sends and receives requests for client information to/from third parties, creates client files, and verifies insurance coverage.
3. Schedules appointments based upon established criteria, makes schedule adjustments if needed, and notifies service providers of client arrival.
4. Assists in explaining medical charges, making collections, and updating client accounts.
5. May support psychological or applied behavioral analysis clinicians in session if needed.
6. Liaises with outside entities (school districts, state agencies, etc.) seeking services from the Center, including initiating standard contracts, obtaining pre-authorizations, and sending invoices.
7. Fulfills outside requests for coordinated care with other providers.
8. Manages clinical materials, protocols, and ordering information.
9. Completes HIPAA compliance checks.
10. Manages grant related data for clinical services and provides database support as needed.
11. Participates in insurance pre-authorization and related duties for timeliness of clinical services.
12. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma
Experience (yrs.): 4 years Directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by Human Resources Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Experience with individuals with disabilities or client coordination.
3. Experience with appointment scheduling and/or medical records background.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Customer service experience.
2. Experience with computers.
3. Ability to multi-task.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
1. No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
2. Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
3. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, moving from sitting to standing quickly, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
4. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
