Position Function:
Delivers technical support and maintains library IT systems, equipment, and learning spaces while supporting inventory management and supervising student assistants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to library faculty and staff across the main library and four branch locations
- Facilitate meetings and events utilizing audio-visual equipment and online conferencing platforms, including WebEx, Teams, and Zoom
- Maintain and support two electronic classrooms and more than ten technology-equipped presentation and conference rooms
- Oversee the maintenance and support of the Digital Media Center, including the mixed reality lab and makerspace
- Manage the library's desktop computing environment, including imaging computers using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and deploying software via PDQ
- Provide support for library checkout equipment, including a fleet of 35+ laptops
- Serve as backup support for library servers in the absence of the Systems Administrator
- Assist the Property Control Manager in overseeing and tracking more than 1,000 university-inventoried assets
- Supervise student assistants within the Systems department
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience working with computers, software, peripherals, electronics, Windows operating systems, and MacOS.
Experience working and troubleshooting in a Windows Active Directory environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of desktop computing environments, including imaging and software deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, PDQ)
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Job frequently requires standing, walking, talking, hearing, handling objects with hands, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
