The role
As a Developer Technology Tools Engineer, you will be responsible for developing advanced applications for developers working on PowerVR platforms. These tools include texture compressors, profilers, debuggers, etc. You will gain a deep understanding of the PowerVR Graphics architecture and graphical APIs, become familiar with current and upcoming programming techniques, and learn how to apply this knowledge to improve the performance and aesthetics of our applications.
You will:
- Develop and maintain graphics developer applications
- Oversee their operation and performance
- Work closely with other PowerVR teams to ensure the entire hardware and software stack is optimal

You'll have:
- 1 to 5 years of application development experience
- Experience with graphics APIs: OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX or Metal
- Excellent C++11 and above programming skills
- Experience with Qt framework or other cross-platform GUI interfaces
- Experience with CMake and other build-system oriented languages
- Excellent experience with CPU debugging and profiling for advanced C++ applications
- Experience with at least two of the following platforms: Windows, Linux, Android, and macOS
- Excellent communication skills
You might also have:
- Experience with compute APIs: CUDA, OpenCL
- Average experience with Python
- Experience with Git source control
- Low-level system programming experience
- Experience with hardware and platform architectures
- Drive to implement unit-testing and regression testing sets
- Capability to write well-documented code
- Interest in video-game technology
